Money is a representation of the power to get things done and gives value to your time, skills, resources, and knowledge.

The Financial system creates nothing, yet there are benefits. The benefit is not the creation of thing, but to manipulate and create a common language of worth.

This manipulation must have been a great improvement to society when it was first invented, It allowing the creative and charismatic people to compete with the physically dominant competitors. Money representing power becomes more than representative when the wealthy purchase the skills, time, and knowledge of people that can protect them.

This shift devalued warlords. Physically strongest actors may still take what they want from the weak, but there is value in more than just physical dominance.

The wealthy seen through this lens, are more valuable. They have the ability to get more things done by paying others to work in a cooperative direction, their cooperative direction.

There are downfalls in having those that hold the power being the best at manipulating though. The politicians are a kind of wealthy warlord, using their representative power to change the rules of society, so that others are not able to compete. Compounding value and power through manipulation.

Yet still better than the alternative.
