Free Will

In quantum mechanics, particles like photons or electrons exist in a superposition of multiple possible states, described by a wave function that encodes probabilities. When measured or observed, the wave function collapses, and the particle is observed in one definite state, such as a specific position or energy, with the outcome determined probabilistically.

It seems to me that this is exactly how reality would have to act, expecially if conscious entities have free will.

There are many encoded probabilities in the ways that now will move into the future. All of those possibilities collapse into a definite state when they are measured aka. a conscious observer chooses.
