Relational Power

The power to control reproduction is held pretty firmly in the hands of females.

Men have had to evolve and learn how to deal with this inequality. These are the lessons I have learned.

  • Don’t express insecurities to your mate. (as a man)

    • It makes you look weak. (weakness is not attractive)

    • Insult is given. (they hear criticism instead of your pain)

    • It solidifies temporary feelings into historic fact. (remember that one time…)

  • Provide for your mate. (share power with your family)

    • It is our job to provide security in the form of food, shelter, and physical defense.

    • This security allows the rest of the family to share appreciation, creativity, and joy.

  • We are a balancing force to the female influence on the family.

    • A mother’s job is to nurture, raise and govern the children. (making the rules)

    • That means it is our job is to protect and defend the family (enforcement of the rules)

    • Sometimes we need to protect the children (tyrannical rules need to be challenged)

    • This security and alignment allows your family to understand consistent expectations while having the freedom to learn and grow.
