  • Time: Sundays, 9:00–10:00 AM. During Open Mat.

  • Dates: Weekly January25th through February 22, 2026 (five total sessions).

  • What to bring: No-gi gear as preferred.

Seminar 1 of 5 — Community

  • Opt out (tap) - Avoid Damage and push limits.

  • Accelerating and Decelerating submissions - Higher ground

  • Fundamentals are for Heroes - Choosing the next victim

  • Activity - withstand tap and accelerate

  • Activity - power differential and decelerate

  • Activity - now that we trust we will not injure each other, play with your food

Seminar 2 of 5 — Controlling Self

  • Gravity magic

  • Grappling Plan - 95% moves and where stuck

  • Smash equilibrium- Comfortable being uncomfortable

  • Activity - Gravity Magic base - 

  • Activity - fill out plan- plan for every situation

  • Activity - Get comfortable being uncomfortable, Whoever is more comfortable is winning (smash equilibrium)

    • Staying safe no floating joints, reinforce, circles

    • Shoulders high (don’t break posture)

The Nemesis:

Seminar 3 of 5 — Controlling your opponent

  • Frames (Goldy locks) - Alignment

  • Mental Warfare (Let them Cook) Deep water

  • Empathy (shift your perspective) No Sympathy

  • Activity - Tension, push and pull

  • Activity - Leverage put the squeeze, breathe calmly, 

  • Activity - setting traps - annoyance they have to deal with (hand on neck, mir lock)

The Ambush:

Attack where they can’t defend

Seminar 4 of 5 — Flanking

  • Flanking - Danger in a Box

  • Weaponize pace - Fast or Slow

  • Enforcer - Smooth then Smother

  • Activity - transition flow belt buckle and weapons

  • Activity - sloth and 

  • Activity -  pinch and compress (get to the right place before squeezing)

The Apotheosis:

Seminar 5 of 5 — Styles

  • Smash - Head and appendage inside gable grip

  • Tension - liabilities, pushers and pullers

  • Slither - disregard position

  • Activity - Whole tool, straight push up

  • Activity - How would you grapple in zero gravity

  • Activity - Only flat on back 

    • Examples - side control (smash) (tricep grip sternum frame) (fall to crucifix)

    • Examples - back control (seat belt hooks) (twister hook) (coyote bite)
